My great-grandfather owned a sporting goods
shop where my grandfather worked in his youth. They had drawn up a mascot for their store: the Old Scout. My family has kept drawings and even carvings of the Old Scout for decades.
These stories are, as I like to call them,
accessibly sideways. I'll take styles from different genres and change them for you. Enough to intrigue you, not so much as to alienate you. I want you to get what they need out of the works, but not the way you expect.
Novelty can be good. Legacy can be good. Why
not a bit of both?

My name is Bradley Beamon
I'm the founder of Old Scout Lore, an author and screenwriter
focused on stories that are Accessibly Sideways: creating captivating and unconventional narratives. My exploration involves delving into high-concept settings and uncovering the depths of unusual characters. I aim to take readers on thought-provoking journeys that challenge perspectives and ignite the imagination.
